Alberta Green Plan

Power your home with renewable energy from Alberta.

Solartility partners with Bullfrog Power to supply energy from local Net Zero projects in Alberta. Bullfrog is Canada’s leading renewable energy provider. Since 2005, Bullfrog has given Canadians the opportunity to choose electricity from wind and solar farms.

Save on your electricity bill. Save the planet.

This basic electricity plan matches how you traditionally get electricity. But you’re now also 100 per cent Alberta green, supporting wind and solar farms in Alberta.

Get the best possible price.

Alberta’s electricity operator sets the hourly price. Your distributor reads your meter and calculates your usage every month. We put the two together and bill you with minimal markup.

Going green will help save the planet.

Make Alberta Green your first step on your energy journey.

Market Rate Plan

Breakthrough technology makes you an electricity broker.

Generate power from your solar panels. Store what you don't use and sell it to the grid when prices are high. Draw from the grid afterhours when prices are low.

Buy low and sell high.

You pay the lowest price and sell to the grid at the highest, thanks to Solartility’s tools and expertise.

You get wholesale prices.

The price of electricity changes every hour. It varies from $0 to $999 per megawatt hour (MWh). Traditional meters cannot track hourly usage. But new interval meters record what you use and sell hourly, so Albertans can benefit from the ups and downs of electricity prices.

Buy low and store for a rainy day.

Market Rate Plan gives you two separate rates—one for exports when you sell to the grid and a lower rate when you buy from the grid.

Cumulative Meter

With traditional metersknown as cumulative—you can go 100% green and help save the planet, while getting ready to move to a smarter interval meter.

Interval Meter

Interval meters track what you use and sell hourly. You become a smarter user ready to benefit from the ups and downs of electricity prices.

Rates

Your meter type determines your energy rate.

Registered micro-generators with bi-directional interval meters (BDIM) can trade on the Alberta energy market (AESO power pool).

Variable rate (total usage)

Your distributor takes your total usage and estimates how much you used each hour based on averages. We apply pool price to those hourly estimates.
